Business Improvement Planning
There are many terms out there that describe business improvement – Process Reengineering, Process Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Process Improvement, etc. We don’t care what it’s called. We care about helping our clients clearly define their business improvement objectives and then methodically leading them through the process of change. With our Business Improvement Planning service, we collaborate with our clients and develop recommendations supported by a strong business case and implementation plan.
Do any of these issues sound familiar? If so, we can help!
- Are you looking for areas to drive cost out of your organization?
- Do you feel weighed down by inefficient processes and procedures?
- Have you just completed a merger with another company and now you have two sets of processes and procedures?
- Are you considering a change in technology but you would like to redesign your business processes first?
Approach
Analyze the Current Operations
- During the Analysis phase of the project, we officially kick off the project and work with subject matter experts across the client’s organization to understand and document the current environment; begin building the business case for change; and developing process, people, and technology recommendations that address the business needs.
Redesign Operations
- During Redesign, we collaborate with the client team to redesign current processes, solidify the business case for change, identify quick hit opportunities that have an immediate impact on the bottom line, and develop a detailed set of recommended solutions.
Develop the Business Improvement Plan
- During this phase, the team will develop a thorough plan that details quick hit, short-term, and long-term opportunities to improve the client’s current operation. This plan will define tasks and dependencies, estimate timing, define implementation roles, and analyze potential risk. Once the client approves the implementation plan, implementation activities will commence, including the execution of ideal processes, technology, organization design, training, and rollout.
At the core of this overall approach is our commitment to effective project management. We are dedicated to helping our clients navigate the muddy waters of change while not over-engineering the overall process and falling victim to over-analysis. As important, we also strive to minimize disruption to day-to-day business and productivity.
