Giving back to the community is a core value at LeadVantage Consulting. Since the beginning, the LeadVantage team has supported charities that are important to our team with both monetary and in-kind donations. Over the years, we have supported the following charities and, if you are able, we strongly encourage you to assist these worthy causes as well.
Locks of Love
www.locksoflove.orgLocks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 18 in the United States and Canada who suffer from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. This organization meets a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses Locks and Love provides help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
Hephzibah
www.hephzibahhome.orgHephzibah believes strongly that children should live in families. And, whenever possible, their own family. Hephzibah also believes that children should have a safe, nurturing environment, free from abuse and neglect. Hephzibah works on solutions, with the best interest of the child at heart. Whether it’s helping to stabilize the child's own family, or finding a loving, caring environment outside the home, Hephzibah combines social service programs and community services to assist children and their families through stressful times.
Pillars
www.pillarscommunity.orgPillars is a not-for-profit social service organization that keeps communities healthy and strong by providing quality, community-based services for more than 10,000 individuals and families annually who are facing challenges and crisis. Pillars utilizes a community wraparound approach, offering a wide spectrum of fully integrated services that collectively offer the strongest possible safety net.
Chicago Lights
www.chicagolights.orgChicago Lights is a non-profit community service organization that serves the city and our urban neighbors, annually welcoming 7,000 people of all ages, races, and religious traditions. Chicago Lights has served more than 50,000 people since the inception of its first tutoring program in 1964. They empower people from first-graders to 80-year-olds to build bridges to a brighter future through education, counseling, health awareness, and personal development.
La Rabida Children’s Hospital
www.larabida.orgLa Rabida is the only hospital in the country solely dedicated to caring for children with chronic illnesses and disabilities, or who have been abused or neglected. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, La Rabida has been caring for children since 1896. LeadVantage Consulting underwrote a new program for a Speech and Occupational Therapy Listening Program that provided specialized CDs and listening equipment. The CDs and listenting equipment are loaned to families for daily use by the children in their home environment.
Make-A-Wish Foundation
www.wish.orgSince 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities.
